God wants us to tithe on our harvest not half of it.
Give tithe and Offerings without cheating God. Tithe on your gross. It is ten percent of your harvest. In this case gross is your full harvest. Stop reducing the tithe from10% to 5%.Give the tithe to support church work since you do not expect them to survive on the book of Mathew.
If you get mean when giving to God, He reduces his blessings to you. Ever since I started giving faithfully, there has always been a multiplication and increase in the following harvests. “…the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” (2 Corinthians 9:6) “A generous person will be enriched, and one who gives water will get water.” (Proverbs 11:25)
There are many reasons you should tithe faithfully in church. Tithing is another way to honour lord God. God can still get money anyway since he creates everything “ The earth is the LORD”S, and the fullness thereof” (Psalm 24:1). “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine” (Haggai2:8). It is God who gives people the power to obtain wealth (Psalm 75:6-7; Ecclesiastes 5:19). We are not to glory in what God has given us, but to glory in Him (Jeremiah 9:23-24).
Pay your tithe out of love for God.“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.”(Matthew 23:23).
Tithe has aspect of obligation and mandate. All Christians are expected to pay. “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.” (Malachi 3:8).Failure to tithe may turn into a curse on your life “Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me” (Malachi 3:9).
Never feel uncomfortable tithing. God wants a cheerful give.”Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7)”Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits.
” (Psalm 103:2)”For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” (John 3:16)”Think of us in this way, as servants of Christ and stewards of God’s mysteries. Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy.” (1 Corinthians 4:1-2)”…all shall give as they are able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God that he has given you.” (Deuteronomy 16:17
Always pay your tithe on anything even if it is five hundred shillings “What shall I return to the LORD for all his bounty to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD, I will pay my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.” (Psalm 116:12-14)”In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:6)
Tithing is a way of supporting the ministry. The tithe should not be from dubious ways. Psalms 4:5 – Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD
