MATE Zsamboki has vowed to finish off Ugandan Moses Golola before the end of the match. The two meet in a world title kick-boxing fight at Kyadondo grounds on Friday.
“All I want is to finish the fight before the end. He may be a good fighter but I don’t think he will survive the third round,” Zsamboki said during a press conference at Hotel Africana on Monday.
Zsamboki has 25 fights with 19 wins, six draws with six knock outs. The Hungarian fighter standing 188cm tall and weighing 78.1kg will battle motor-mouthed Golola in a 10-round fight.
The low kick-boxing style fight will be favourable to Golola. Knees and elbows will not be used and holding is not allowed. Any fighter who defaults will lose points or the match.
Zsamboki’s coach Istvan Rozman ruled out any expectations of Golola winning. Rozman was Andras Nagy’s coach during his fight with Golola last December.
“If Golola has got some preparation then it will be 50-50; that is if he learnt something from his previous fight,” Rozman asserted.
Golola needs the win badly
Money aside, Golola needs the victory to restore confidence among his fans after the controversial fight with Nagy last year.
But at the same time, after securing three hectares of land on Gayaza Road, Golola is set to start building his house. The fighter will also need the winner’s sh10m purse for the venture.
Meanwhile, Golola passed the first test after his medical report showed he was HIV negative. Zsamboki’s manager had said he would not let his fighter into the ring if it was found that Golola was HIV positive.
On Friday Golola went for a medical test and the results were in his favour.
