There is a Magical group of people in Uganda.
I refer to them as the Conversadores.
These people converse the conversations of the people.
They bring to light the issues; they retaliate injustice and heap praise where praise is merited.
When they speak, it is not only their mind that they illuminate; they highlight the minds, opinions, feelings and hearts of the people.
They fight the fight of the people.
They have the audacity to take the risk, to face their fears and speak for those that lack the audacity.
Such people are very important and should be protected by the people, because they sacrifice themselves for the people and if anything befalls them, it is not them that will be voiceless, but rather the people will lose their mouth piece, they will be mutilated.
[related_posts]If government tortures/kills/kidnaps any of these conversadores, the poets, the writers, bloggers, the demonstrators to mention but few, a dark spell will be cast unto the people, their candles will cease to burn, and our society will be robed of its livelihood.
The Voiceless will be dead for they would have lost their voices.
The society will be unable to talk anymore. We will be dead because just like the dead, we will not talk.
We will be a society of Zombies,
The living dead.
