Cavendish University recently reaffirmed and announced its commitment to providing Uganda with high quality, market relevant education through $1.5 million investment boost to upgrade its main campus on Ggaba Rd and open brand new facilities in Acacia near Kololo.
It was also recognized by Uganda’s tax body – Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) as a role model University for its compliance as a contributing taxpayer in Uganda.
However, on Wednesday September 28th, 2016, a local tabloid published an incorrect and maliciously misleading online story entitled “Cavendish University up for sale.”
According to Cavendish University, there are no plans to sell the institution. The university clarified that the author who published the claim is not acting on behalf of Cavendish University Uganda and did not endeavor to corroborate the facts through attaining response from Cavendish communications department.
