One of the most anticipated concerts on Kampala’s social calendar for 2017 is finally here. Nigerian acts Iyanya and Korede Bello from the Mavin crew will be performing live in Kampala this Saturday 1st of July 2017 at an exclusive VIP show to be hosted at Cayenne Lounge and Bar.
The concert which has been dubbed “ A Night with Mavin” aims to draw Kampala’s most exclusive crowd that share a love for Nigerian Afro beat, for a VIP experience with the Mavin heartthrobs.
Iyanya and Korede Bello are part of International Record label, Mavin Records which was founded by Don Jazzy in 2012. The label’s inception came to fruition following the closure of Mo’ Hits records, a record label that was owned by Don Jazzy and D’banj. The record label is home to artists such as Tiwa Savage, Dr. Sid, Iyanya, Reekado Banks, Di’Ja and Korede Bello.
Iyanya Ononym Mbuk known by his mononym Iyanya is a 31 year old Nigerian singer, songwriter and performer who first rose to fame through Project Fame West Africa. He is most known for hits such as Mr. Oreo, Kukere, Your Waist, Sexy Mama to mention but a few.
Korede Bello is a 21 year old Nigerian artist better known for his semi-gospel track God-win. He is also popularly referred to as Mr. Romantic following his 2015 track Romantic featuring Tiwa Savage. He released his debut albumBelloved early this year.
The show will also feature local talent Ykee Benda of the “Muna Kampala” fame and renowned DJ Simples on the decks.
The event is Kasana event’s premier show and has garnered sponsorship and partnership from Ciroc Vodka, Tag4Cash, Speke Resort Munyonyo, Fero Mobile, Cayenne among others.
