A wedding is everyone’s dream. No wonder those who achieve this dream go on to describe it as the biggest day of their lives.
However, not all are in position to achieve this dream mainly because of financial constraints.
Well, if you are in this category, then you might be just a story away from achieving your dream following the return of Beat FM’s “Okwanjjula Kwa Beat”, where a lucky couple wins itself a fully paid introduction in any part of the country.
Launching this year’s edition, Beat FM Programs Director, Denis Katongole also known as Katongole Omutongole said that this was one of the ways of giving back to their listeners.
“Beat FM is a family radio and there is no stronger family than one which is united through a wedding,” he said at a press conference held at Kisementi, Kampala, where the radio’s studios are found.
As if to prove this assertion, with them was the winners of the first edition held in 2014.
These have since been blessed with two children.
Speaking about on why it had taken them long to organise a second edition, Katongole said it was because for the previous years they have been involved in other similar campaigns in which they gave back to their listeners.
He, however, promised that their will not be any more breaks, saying “Kwanjjula Kwa Beat” is now an annual event.
How to participate. Entries can be made via email, Facebook and hand delivery.
The second phase will involve picking the best twenty entries which will be read to the listeners.
Then listeners vote for the best five who will be invited to the studio for a live interview before the final vote on the last weekend.
The call for entries has already kicked off.
The winning couple will have their Kwanjula ceremony held in December.
