The Uganda Parliament plans to set a beauty parlour for the women MPs and female parliamentary staff to access all their needs since they have busy schedules to get time to beautify themselves.
Personally, I do support Parliament. A woman has to look good and maintain her beauty no matter how busy she can get and what better way than to establish a beauty parlour which can easily be accessed and convenient for all of them (Parliamentarians).
Speaker of Parliament, Hon Rebecca Kadaga said the salon and the beauty shop will be established at the parliamentary building in Kampala and will be fully stocked with modern beauty accessories like jewelry, makeup among other things.
“We work all day long so at times one may fail to find time to rush to the salon, but with our salon here, one can be able to save a few hours run to the salon and then back to their work,” New Vision quotes Kadaga.
These MPs spend most of their time moving up and down, from their constituencies, to Parliament in those plenary sessions where they spend hours arguing over some things that are not even that important and before you realise it, it is evening, they are tired and don’t have time for salon.
Kadaga also says the female parliamentarians need the salon especially after they have used the gym. Instead of going outside parliament, they can use the one (salon) that is nearby.
I believe this beauty parlour will also help some of the women enhance on their beauty. For example some MPs plait hair that lasts for ages and yet they get enough salary that if one wanted she can change a hair style every week.
We need MPs that wholly represent their constituencies in brains and beauty too.
Women tend to focus much on work and taking cater of other needs or people and they forget about themselves. So this will help them take care of themselves too. They may need a break from their routine too.
A salon would also help these women get time to socialize outside work issues. Socializing is a huge part of going to the hair salon. It is a place for women to gather and to visit with each other.
Did you know that going to salon also makes women rejuvenated and energetic?
HairDresserSalon an online website on women and salons says going to a salon makes a woman more confident on how she looks and also at work
“It is amazing how good a woman can feel after she has been to the hair salon. She gets to slow down for a while and all of the focus is on her. She can feel good mentally and physically. She can gain confidence and she can enjoy what she sees in the mirror. Many women feel younger and energized after they have spent some time at the hair salon.”
However, what I don’t know about is, if these women are allowed to access the salon at Parliament, will they not spend most of their time in the salon and forget to do their work.
Remember, women and salons are inseparable and addictive too.
