Benon and Vamposs dominated the airwaves between 2000 and 2009 churning dancehall tunes like “Mumulete”, “I know”, “Nsazewo”, and “My lady”. The group disbanded in 2009 opting to pursue solo careers. Benon went on to focus on music production and Vampino continued his musical journey as a solo artist.
Now, the group is making a return to the big stage having been booked by Swangz Avenue for the Reggae edition of Roast and Rhyme.
Slated for 12th March, the Bell Lager powered event promises even more fun and entertainment. Other artists set to perform are Bebe Cool and Ife the poet.
Roast and Rhyme took Kampala’s social calendar by storm last year, becoming a highly-anticipated event. The event is sold as a day out by the lakeside to be enjoyed with friends and family as you listen to great live authentic Ugandan acoustic music and enjoy mouthwatering BBQ.
Here, organizers will give revelers the rare opportunity to bring their own meat and roast it at the venue providing essentials like charcoal. This edition will have chefs on ground to assist those whose culinary skills are not up to par.
