Vivo Energy Uganda has launched a new and improved Shell V-Power club in which members will be rewarded with monthly exclusive rewards for consuming Shell V-Power, as well as stand a chance to win one of seven grand prizes of an all-expense paid trip to the Formula One Grand Prix, in Italy in September or Abu Dhabi in November 2017.
The Shell V-Power Club in Uganda was launched in 2015 and has since registered over 1000 members. A total of five (5) club members have since enjoyed a fully paid trip to attend the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
In this new and improved edition of the Shell V-Power Club, members will earn ten (10) points for every litre of Shell V-Power consumed. A club member who has accumulated 500 points will qualify for the monthly draw to win prizes. Club members in the motorcycle category will only require 200 points to qualify for monthly prizes. Once a member has accumulated 10,000 points they will enter the draw for the Grand Prix prize. The monthly prizes to be won every month will include free fuel, a weekend getaway for two (2) to Lake Victoria Serena Hotel, a toolbox, a free car service and a set of tyres. Furthermore, having collected 4,000 points (2,000 for a motorcycle rider) Shell V-Power club members can redeem their points on a monthly basis in exchange for fuel at our Shell V-Power dispensing stations.
The draw for Italy’s Monza Grand Prix will be held on 31st July 2017 and the draw for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be held on 31st of October 2017, to determine the grand prize winners.
Speaking at the launch of the 2017 club, the Managing Director of Vivo Energy Uganda Mr. Gilbert Assi said, “The Shell V-Power Club is a community of friends who have become family because they attest to the benefits of using our high performance fuel. Because theyknow that not all fuels are the same,theyhave chosen quality, precision and performance. We call them family.”
“And because we believe loyalty should be rewarded, the Shell V-Power Club was formed to ensure that our most loyal Shell V-Power customers can enjoy some special benefits over and above the benefit of improved power and performance. This year we haveenhanced the club to add new members and to further increase the benefits to our members.” Assi added.
Shell V-Power is an unleaded petrol with a new formulation, designed to defend your engine against gunk and corrosion, bring it to and maintain it at peak condition, and give you improved power and responsiveness. The formulation has been developed by Shell scientists with the Scuderia Ferrari engineers who develop the world classengine fuels and lubricants that power Ferrari’s F1 cars.
Customers of Shell V-Power in Uganda get a fuel that contains 99% of the same types of compounds that are found in the Shell V-Power race fuel being used by Scuderia Ferrari in the F1 world championship.
Existing card holders can now redeem their points and are already in line to be winners this year. A customer who would like to enter the club can register at any Shell service station that dispenses Shell V-Power. Of the 134 Shell Service stations in Uganda, 66 stations located across the country serve Shell V-Power for petrol engines.
